Tour The Grove Museum

Guided house tours focus on the evolution of civil rights in American history, from slavery to the civil rights movement, through the lens of The Grove and its former residents.

House tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis:

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., noon, 1:00 p.m, 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The house and grounds are CLOSED Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Group Tours

Tours for groups of ten (10) or more are available at $1.00 per guest. Please contact [email protected] in advance to make group tour arrangements.

Educational Programs

Follow The Grove Museum on Facebook and check out our Programs page for past, current, and upcoming programs. Teachers - contact museum staff to make field trip arrangements [email protected]. Museum staff offer indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) programs for all K-12 students.

Grounds

The Grove's grounds are open Wednesday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to stroll the site, observe wildlife, and enjoy a large selection of native and exotic plants. Well behaved dogs on leashes may visit the site during normal operating hours. Picnic tables and benches are available on a first come, first served basis - bring your lunch!

Visitor parking is located at 902 N. Monroe St., Tallahassee, Florida 32303

Site Policies

Well-behaved pets on leashes may visit the grounds during normal operating hours. In respect of others, please clean up after your pet.

Only service animals are permitted inside the house.

Alcohol and tobacco are not permitted on the premises.

For the safety of all guests, motorized vehicles (other than personal mobility devices), bicycles, skateboards and skates are not permitted.

Young children must be accompanied by an adult while inside the house or on the grounds.

Wheelchairs are available on-site for use in the historic house.
