Nature & History Walks


Join museum staff and special guests for a guided walking tour of the site, focusing on the intersection of nature, culture, and history!

All programs are free, open to the public, and start at 2:00 p.m. on the dates listed below, with the exception of the April 27 program, which starts at 10:30 a.m.

  • February 17, 2024, Black History Month: Enslaved Craftspeople & Building Early Territorial Tallahassee

  • March 9, 2024, Florida Archaeology Month: Material Culture & Tallahassee's Bicentennial (Offered during Grove Day 2024!)

  • April 27, 2024, Sustainability & The Grove's Urban Forest (starts at 10:30 a.m.)

  • May 11, 2024, 20th of May, Emancipation in Florida: Reconstructing Historical Landscapes Connected to the History of Slavery & Freedom in the Tallahassee Red Hills Region

This is an informal program and guests can join or leave the walk at any time. Please wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to stand or walk for the majority of the tour.

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: House tours on the hour, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

Saturday: House tours on the hour, 10, 11 a.m., Noon, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.

Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday

Group Tours: Tours for groups of ten (10) or more are available at $1.00 per guest. For group tours, please contact the museum in advance to make arrangements.

Grounds open Wednesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
